Hello and welcome to Fur, Paws and Claws! As the name suggests, this blog is for any pet that has fur paws and claws. I personally own two dogs, two rabbits and one cat so these are the species that will be featured most. I hope to have a few 'guest posts' included every now and then in which somebody owning another four legged, furry pet can write a blog post. My sister owns a guinea pig and is hoping to rescue another one soon so hopefully she can write something about that as well as homemade guinea pig toys and treats.
This blog will have three main 'features'. These are...
1. DIY - Homemade pet toys and treats
2. Pet Corner - Updates on my pets and general advice on keeping pets
3. Hijacks- A chance for my pets to take over the blog and let you know what they've been doing.
Without further a do I'll introduce my pets...
Sasha - Sasha is my oldest and most loyal pet. She is an eleven year old Collie Cross and has been mine since the day she was born. She likes nothing more than to laze around and relax but still has alot of bounce in her despite her getting on a bit! Her favourite toy is her ball and she loves to play fetch. She is a great jumper and can clear gates with ease.
Bertie - Bertie is the most mischevious of my pets. He's still young at fifteen months old and runs rings around Sasha (though she manages to keep up pretty well!). He is a Pug cross Shih Tzu and isnt the most pampered looking pooch but hes gorgeous none the less! His favourite toy, believe it or not, is a dummy which he stole from my two year old neice! He loves to flip it in the air and chase it around the room! He loves to sit on the window sill and stare out at the pasisng people and cars and has been dubbed the Neighbourhood Watch Dog.
Mouse - Mouse is the newest addidtion to my pets. She is a tweleve week old domestic cat with Tuxedo markings. She loves to play with Sasha and Bertie's tails and enjoys playing with socks.
Maisie - Maisie is a two year old English rabbit. She loves to laze around in her hutch and sun bathe when we are forunate to have nice weather! She is partial to carrots and likes Cheerios as an occasional treat.
Daphne - Daphne is a Dutch Rabbit and her age is unkown though I would say she is around three years old. She loves to gnaw on wooden blocks and her favourite food is cabbage and toast.
So there you have my pets! I love them all dearly and hope that you will get to know and love them through this blog!
